Gatherings
Throughout history God's people have gathered together to encourage one another and celebrate his extravagant grace and blessing in their lives. Soma gathers together to continue this tradition of worship.
Missional Community Gatherings
The primary kind of group in Soma is the Missional Community. They live life together as a family on God's mission, seeing each other often and gathering together in homes at least weekly.
Expression Gatherings
A group of Missional Communities working together to uniquely express the gospel in their area is what we call that an Expression and it's led by the MC leaders and local elders. These Expressions gather together at different times and in different ways for equipping, worship, training and to jointly serve in their area.
Currently, Soma Communities has three large gatherings on Sunday mornings—two in downtown Tacoma and one in downtown Renton. Each Sunday gathering is attended and led by the Expressions in and near that city.
At these gatherings we spend time sharing our lives through stories, music, teaching and food, and we consider all of this to be acts of worship to a God who deserves it!
